Best Family Home Awards 2005:

Sylvie Mossay O'Donovan from Belgium was adamant she had never experienced anything like "Cairbre House", nor the hospitality and generosity afforded by Brian Wickham, the B&B operator involved.
The occasion was Sylvie's own wedding and Brian pulled out all the stops to ensure the bride, her family and friends had a wonderful stay and one that would linger in their memories forever.
The occasion was made more unusual since it was from "Cairbre House" that Sylvie left to go to the church in her bridal regalia and the photographer used the entire house and garden as the background for his picture record of this special event.
"Brian and his family made everything effortless", enthused Pierce O'Mahony from Barnet, Herts, UK. As a birdwatcher and fisherman he was delighted when Brian supplied binoculars and telescopes to watch local fauna and tide. His wife Brenda was given seeds from some of Brian's amazing plants too.
A six night stay by Paula Jean from California reiterates the consistency of Brian and his family in ensuring guests' wellbeing. She was part of a group of eleven, yet all were overjoyed by their stay. "Better than a 5 star hotel", was the final consensus.
"Cairbre House is a beautiful house with great character and charm", say Val & Michael Chapman from Wirral, England. "The breakfast was beautifully presented with fresh herbs from the house gardens as garnish". They knew they'd found a jewel, so extended their stay. So did Anne Creed of Bangor, Co. Down who thought the gardens were beautiful. "This B&B is out of this world!" she concurred.
